East Wind... Ill Wind

In My Head This is the Hawaii Five-O episode on TV now. (Can you tell we still haven't hooked up cable?) I can't say that I am a fan. To be honest, Jack Lord creeps me out a little in that big mutha of a car he drives.
I worked until about 3:30 this morning, because I'm still having trouble sleeping. Needless to say, I wasn't ecstatic when I woke up and remembered I had no coffee in the house. So I got dressed and walked over to Starbucks, where I proceeded to get hit on by the Boy Behind the Counter ("BBC"). Now, trust me, I am the lamest duck about picking up these type of signals, but even I have to recognize that there is something unusual about getting APPLAUSE and an "Aw Yeah" (a la Barry White) while ordering my coffee. Heck, even that I would normally write off to being overly chipper, but I caught BBC staring at me while I waited for my coffee, then later leaving a counter full of customers to stand by the window (as if suddenly the cinnamon and nutmeg shakers needed to be rearranged) and watch me get into my car and drive away.
Luckily, he was cute, so I wasn't all creeped out. Instead I was rather smug and pleased with myself. Apparently, I clean up better than I thought.
