To all the men I've loved before...

Hmm... so Nicole Kidman is seriously involved with Keith Urban and wearing a "mysterious ring."

This is somewhat perturbing, as Keith Urban is on my list (and, no, I don't know why. I don't normally go for men who highlight their hair.)  The list of celebrities I occasionally have very, very good dreams about... (and I think you're picking up what I'm laying down.)  He generally rotates with Heath Ledger, although more recently it's been Patrick Dempsey (due to my new Grey's Anatomy habit). Anyhow, it suddenly seems that all my fantasy guys are seriously involved or committed to one woman.  One just had a new baby. 

I think this reflects my newfound love of the responsible, respectful man.  I can only think this is a telltale sign that I'm getting older.  How else do you explain craving a guy who sings lyrics like this:

I wanna honor your mother

And I wanna learn from your pa

I wanna steal your attention like a bad outlaw

I wanna stand out in a crowd for you

A man among men

I wanna make your world better than it's ever been

Other than the fact that he actually used the word "pa," this song is a big turn-on.  So goodbye to:

• men who have more drama in their lives than I do
• Depeche Mode songs sung in my ear after Doritos were recently eaten (tiny Dorito chunks being spit in my ear are NOT SEXY!)
• SOMEONE pretending to salsa dance only to cop a feel
• listening to stories about an ex-girlfriend
• being a mother substitute
• talking to a sock puppet

Yes.  That last one actually happened.  On a first date, no less. And no, sock puppet is not a euphemism in this case.

No second date, although now you have me curious and wondering how many times the sock puppet would have made an appearance had we'd made it to a second or third. :)
