Two steps forward, two knees and elbows back...

Today started off great.  I was motivated, woke up early and walked 2 miles before going home to shower and traipsing into work.  Was at work by 8:45.  Last night, I made 5 different salads to choose from to bring to work this week.  On top of that, I prepared homemade dressings to go with each of those salads yesterday.  And I made broccoli beef for dinner!  I am woman, hear me roar!  Anyhow, today I had the spicy Asian chicken salad.  That leaves me a Greek Salad, Three Bean Salad, Club Salad, and a French Nicoise Salad for the rest of the week.  I DRANK MY GREEN TEA, AND I WAS ON A ROLL, PEOPLE!

8:45 to 2:00 - miscellaneous work not of interest here.  Blah Blah Blah.

2:15 - Arrive at courthouse with friend.  She is driving.  I step out of passenger side to check and see if we still have time on the meter, because we are amazingly short of change.  I immediately trip over the GUTTER we parked next to, skinning both my knees and elbows.  It was not a delicate sight to behold, although I somehow managed to miss ripping my pants.

3:00 - Back at work I notice one knee is bleeding rather profusely and there is skin just hanging from my elbow.  The other knee has escaped with minor rug burn type injury.

.....  I guess I'm lucky I didn't sprain an ankle while I was at it.  But really, who puts a gutter next to a parking meter?  I didn't even have time to get my hands up, that's why I landed on my elbows.  I thought I was stepping out onto the curb and stepped out into the black hole of the gutter.

Gutter: 1  Me: -4
