The Dream Cafe...

After the tiresome, nightmarish turn my Friday afternoon took, it was nice to wake up this morning and hit The Dream Cafe for breakfast.  For those of you who live in Dallas, the restaurant is over in the Quadrangle in Uptown.

The Dream Cafe is really good about catering to every tastebud, which is why we like it.  It appeals to the vegetarian, the dieter, the organic lover, and the meat lover.  It's also very family friendly, with a nice little playground area - allowing the kids to play while their parents eat on the patio and watch over them.

Jeff ordered the Grady's omelet (smoked salmon, fresh spinach, tomatoes and herbed cream cheese), while I ordered the Cloud Cakes (two ricotta cheese pancakes with strawberries and creme fraiche) and a coffee.  I was going to get the Grady's omelet, but as usual, Jeff and I always want the same thing (or things) so we compromise and one of us orders something different so we can share.  It was, to say the least, just the right thing for a hungry tummy.  The only thing you really need to know if you go to The Dream Cafe is that while the waiters are Johnny-on-the-spot if you need a refill or check, etc., it does take a little longer than average for your order to reach the table.  I theorize that this is because everything is truly fresh, fresh, fresh - or so it seems to me.

Anyhow, I got a little bored during breakfast and took some photos for your viewing pleasure:
