Yes, my life seems to revolve around work and trips to Oklahoma these days, or at least that's what I post, anyhow. My brother, Mike, is moving to Arizona, so my extended family had a big cookout for him. And let me just say that the barbecued brisket grilled veggie burger that I had was wonderful. I am afraid can't wait to go back to Weight Watchers.
But that wasn't the only excitement! No, no! My uncle hit a cow, shattered his windshield into a million pieces and totalled his car! But wait... there's more! That's the second cow he's hit on the same road. He's also hit two deer. Now, (I can joke about this only because he wasn't seriously hurt) either he's not the world's most careful driver, or he's got very good aim.
What else could we cram into a 2 day, one night trip, you say? How about a trip to Oklahoma City to see Jeff's family and celebrate his sister's birthday? Which was nerve-wracking, since that was the first time I'd met that side of the family. But we had fun! They are some wonderfully, wild characters.
We were dead tired by the time we got on the road, but we finally stopped at a Taco Bell in Paul's Valley to get supper. And just a pointer to all of you retards who, like me, might think you can feed 3 soft tacos to another person in the dark, while they are driving at 80 MPH. It doesn't work - you really just end up with shredded lettuce all over your car.
I'll leave you with a couple of photos of the sunset about by my aunt's farm. It really was amazing, although we were headed in the wrong direction when it looked its best (the sun turned scorching hot pink - I kid you not!). I obviously got bored and played around with some of these.
